Crocus Darts

This is a plinth-top version of a work that replaces crocus flowers with darts.
It uses an area of artificial turf along with cheap artificial flowers and cheap darts to emphasise the humorous quality of the work.

The piece utilises visual deception and the surprise that is caused by the realisation that one's perceptions have been tricked.
The power of the deception is enhanced by the contrast between the 'soft' qualities of crocus flowers and the 'hard' qualities of darts.
