Mirror art.

I’ve been using mirrors to create art for many years. This example uses the addition of a relatively recent addition to my repertoire: document clips.
The document clips form a semicircle that rests on the surface of the mirror, with the reflection of the semicircle creating the illusion of a complete circle of clips.
The work has been placed outdoors so that the mirror reflects the sky, which creates the illusion that the (illusory) ring of documents clips is floating in the sky. The reflection of the sky in the mirror generates a strange disorientation in its own right – a disorientation that is amplified by the ring of clips that seems to be suspended at the threshold that separates the reflected sky from the real world.
