September 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A sculpture constructed from G-clamps attached to a speed clamp.<br>\nNormally clamps are used in order to hold other objects together (such as glued pieces of wood while the glue dries). Here the clamps are holding each other together. The assemblage can be interpreted as a metaphor for human society holding itseld together by using its own inherent qualities and strengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An version of this concept shows the clamps <a href=\"unstable-construction\/ \">at an angle <\/a> \u2013 possibly a metaphor for the precariousness of the cohesion of human society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assemblage of G-clamps G-clamps and speed clamp.
